<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Quickest way to have a disaster. Always check your rod length, piston diameter, valve clearances, degree your cam, oil pump, and bearing clearances, among other things.

All of these things are considered as normal inspection when you put together a motor. Gee, its funny, they're all new parts..............Why would you check those?
