Cleaner more professional look?All your doing is unhooking one wire and hooking up another.The points wire(existing)is a resistor wire(9 volts)the HEI needs a straight 12.Just follow the points wire back to the harness block on the fire wall and remove the wire and attach the new one.The clip can be removed and re-soldered to the new wire.Route,retape and you are done.IF you are going to use a Ign. box(MSD,Crane,etc) the 9 volts is enough to trigger the box and no re-wiring is required.
