The 455 cars did use the 7040270,7040273 and the 7045270,705273 CA only carbs if they came equiped with RA. The best way to check which carb your car had is to verify with the build sheet. My 455 HO convert with RA and auto specifies the "WA" carb in the carb square on the build sheet which is the 7040270 and correct for the auto with RA. Those build sheets are nice for determining which part your particular car was built with.
