everything ive read indicates that should be updated to match the needs of the box. global west sells one, 30 or 40 bucks i think.

again, w/o knowing the intricacies of power steering, i would guess a "hi-po" box needs more pressure to operate effectively. if you use a "low-po" pump it will have to work that much harder, thus impacting its durability and life span.
