Do any of you have a spare ring for the D.S.highbeam? for a 69-GTO found out that they are not all the same, and can,t find one anywhere! (dealer, yearone, ect) thanks for any help in this matter!

Sorry Jeff, I came up shy. Only one I could find had a popped seam. They shouldn't be that hard to though. I'm pretty sure they interchange between all the '60s four light setups. Good luck.

popped seam can be fixed and NO all the rings are not the same. Early ones up to about 68 had hole in ring for spring to hold in place of one screw.

Not correct of course, but I came across a neat trick someone did with a car I'd parted: the retaining rings are different but usually have 2 of the three holes lined up. The previous owner had bent the non-aligned tab back around itself so it hooked around the edge of the headlight cup then mounted the other two screws. It held the headlight just fine.
