Prices vary with condition , a1970 blue on blue #5 did not make reserve and it went $45,000.00 a 1970 ram 3 with a ram 4 motor went for $105,000.00 so anything goes. only a few made and many wanting , one day only the rich and lucky will have one.

Last December, a blue on blue, ram air III, 4 speed a/c car from Florida sold on ebay for $14,600. I believe it had the wrong engine, wrong carb, wrong shaker, and wrong rims and it needed a complete restoration. I agree with TA doctor, one day only the rich...

The prices are really going up. If you want a decent driver without numbers matching I would budget around $15,000 or so. You might be able to find a '73 D-port T/A w/ numbers matching for around that as they seem to be a little cheaper still.

I was offered $29,000-$30,000 for my 70 T/A after I decided to keep my Bird.Now I will most likely be buried with her.

Numbers-matching or not, expect to pay a premium...the sky's the limit. Not many were made, most of them are long gone and prices have continued to climb since the demise of the F-body.

I think you can get a 70 auto numbers matching driver car for under 20k. I think you will pay the same amount for a non matching 4 speed car. I think the four speed car bring a extra 20% and then if you have blue 4 speed add another 20%. If you are looking to buy ask the t/a dr. He has the market cornered on 70 t/a's

I was trying to sell my 1970 last summer to finance the purchase of my Judge. Highest offer I got was $22000. Car is an older restoration (2-3), with a 4-spd., but does not have original RA III engine. Fortunately, I was able to find the financing for my Judge elsewhere.

What TA Doctor mentioned about a III car selling for $100K b/c it had a IV in it is interesting. I have an almost complete SR RA IV that I am going to put in my TA, but if I was in the market, I wouldn’t pay the “RA IV premium� unless the car rolled out of the factory with it. There is a discussion over on the ’69 GTO boards about a ’69 GTO on eBay that was an original RA III car, but now has a RA V (yes, V as in five) and it is said the owner is expecting $100K plus for the car.

You won't have any trouble selling it. Like previous posts, I'll probably be buried in my '71 4-speed (nearing completion of a rebuild/restoration from class 6 parts car to class 2/3; mostly original, Lucerne Blue / Medium Blue).

That car was advertised on Hemmings for $100k about a month ago (if it's the one I'm thinking of - blue 4 speed), but actually sold on eBay for around $40k. I think the Hemmings ad was a ploy to inflate the perceived value. There were many questionable elements about that car as well -- sold for much more than I would have expected.
