The 8.1L is just the latest big block chev. the 5.3 -6.0 are the ls based motors and are becoming more common place as a swap. There are many companies that offer swap parts. I am nearing the end of my swap on my 6.0 lemans convertable. This swap is not as difficult as you might think but you need to consider,fuel, engine wiring and pcm. if you need help Imight be able to help you since I just came from there. jim.
