Having the front Stamp is very important.
It tells what car it came out of.

Otherwise they came out of Pontiacs.

Usually I'm found working on my Pontiac. If you want to find me Look for the white picket fence and all the old Pontiacs parked outside. And the half dissembled engine sprawled all over the driveway!

67 YE is a 400 325HP out of a big car. 72 YS is a 250HP 400 out of any series. Both are 4BBl but as memory serves me the YE was equipped with a carter afb Instead of the Q-jet.

The '67 seems to be right (big car/carter '67 400),but the other could be just about any later 400,you'll need all the codes to be certain, casting, block, and date codes to get a good idea what it might be.

Even then its still kinda just a generic 400...

Are you looking for specific date codes?

If you are be sure to include the dates your looking for, makes it easier knowing this info upfront if its important.

I have a couple sets of 670's,one set are bare w/umatched dates, and a pair of matched date "pull offs".

Also have a set on the 400 for my race car,but those I need to keep, and they are'nt date matched either.

They are around, should'nt be too hard to make a deal.
