That is AWESOME!! Owning a 69 Judge and living 20 minutes from Elkhart Lake isn't too bad either. I even got to deliver there during the American LeMans last summer at my previous job.

Yes, they are really great pictures. Thanks for sharing them. I don't recall ever seeing any pictures of '69 Judges as pace cars before.

Can anyone make out what is written on the Judge convert and/or which track it was at? I would be interested in seeing other pictures like this if anyone else has any.

Now if we could just find some information on what ever became of these two cars...

I can't tell about the convert., but you'll notice on the hardtop that it was supplied by a certain Pontiac dealer. I'm sure that after the race it was simply 'delettered', and returned to dealer stock, and probably driven as a demonstrator for a while then sold as such. Unless you would have signed documentation with pics from that dealer stating that the car was used as a pace car, there would be no way to prove it. And back then, it was probably worth more without the history of being a pace car.

Jerry is right because I own a pace car from a race track. They removed the letters and sold it to the first owner as a demonstrator. I have the documentation from the dealer proving it was a pace car.

Count me in for another WOW !

The hardtop looks like it says Hollomon of Hampton Va. maybe? Being that it paced a Charlotte Nascar race (judging by number of spectators) - around here - that would have been special and sold just like that with lettering in place. Maybe even above sticker price. A couple of owners or eventual re-paint, more than likely this car is lost in the mix now.

Would try to claim it's my car, but mine came with the lower quarter trim.

GREAT PICS BOB
