The factory aluminum GM LT-4 heads with your hot cam,and 1.6 rockers and the needed matching intake and such will get you to the 425 HP mark @ the flywheel by most all accounts.
And scoggin-dickey offers a CNC ported version for just a little more punch. But the best of the bunch is likely the AFR LT-1/LT-4 heads, real nice, and tons more potential beyond the others. Many will likely say to move beyond the "hot" cam,and if your really looking for the max you probably will need to,but for the goal you mention it will do the job. And remember the other mods you made all help make this work better, good exhaust, proper fuel system, and the like do help quite a bit too. |

Purplefcar, another vote for eportworks. He ported my lt1 casting and I couldn't be happier. Really woke up my very sleepy lt1, car runs like a scalded dog. I made 384 rwhp with heads, cam, headers, and injectors. That was on a mail order tune on a 100 degree day. I have since then done more tunning and went to an electric wp. With me driving (not good) and its a loaded T/A with a 6 speed I still managed 8.0's in the 1/8th and 12.5's in the 1/4. Not bad for the money in upgrades. I plan to have him port some pontiac d ports in the near future.
