From what I've seen Heavyweight vehicles, 3400 lbs or greater, with clutches or trans brakes should seriously consider steel driveshafts for total reliability. I kind of think of a driveshaft like a fuse, I'd rather break it then thrash my rearend or transmission. Of course you don't want some piece of junk that snaps with a 400-500 hp motor.

I email the guy who made it and ask him to log in and answer some questions, not sure if he will or not.
On another note, Denny's Driveshafts offers a twist and tear lifetime guaranty on there steel shafts. They cost around $350-$450, a bit more then I wanted to spend, but maybe a good investment for Brian's 'Bird. This is what they said “We stand behind all of our Heavy Duty driveshafts....so remember "IF YOU CAN POSSIBLY TWIST OUR TUBING OR BREAK OUR WELDS...WE'LL REPLACE IT FREE!!! That’s the kind of quality and confidence you won’t find elsewhere” Here’s there web address http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/index.html

The tubing for these shafts can handle upwards of 1100 hp, it is .125" wall and drawn tubing, no seams , the best available anywhere. The overall rating is based on the ujoint series and type you use. I will put the Forged Dana Spicer in any extreme duty shafts and between the smallest series and the largest(1350, like yours) the ujoints can handle 500hp(1310) and up to 1000hp or more(1350) depending on how much torque the shaft will see. I think that would cover almost everyone out there though.
