Unless someone is making a repo, be prepared to pay big bucks for an original. They must be made of gold and painted black.

they pop up on ebay every once in a while. I've never seen one sell for more than $40, so they're not gold. There's one on now http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/66-67...QQcmdZViewItem

I was looking for one for a project car and was able to get it for under $30.00.
Below link is another up for auction. The price is a bit on the high side, but I thought I would post it anyway. I see that the 67 plate has a different part# is the plate itself different? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I had to make a darn heater delete plate for my Hawaiian GTO! No idea what they looked like, the original owner took the plate out 35 years ago, sawed the hole wider and stuck in some really horrible guages! Ended up getting a replacement bezel, having it redone and improvising on the delete plate, I made a panel and used the same wood decal stuff over it.

Are the 67 delete plates different from the 66? Anyone got a pic of a 67?
Thanks,

The plate pictured is of a 66 radio delete plate, part number 9782742. Thats what they look like, no woodgrain and black.
We are trying to find out if the 67 plate is the same in appearance as 66, but it does have a different part number, 9777675. Also has a different description. "1.5 I radio opening cover (67)" vs "plate, radio opening cover (66)"

O.K.
lets move onto the Heater Delete mystery. Did the Factory offer delete plates for export models to warmer climets?
