The "original' louis tool is designed to work on small block chevies mostly,not really for pontiacs,the SBC pushrod slot holds it in place better than a pontiac pushrod slot would.

The spotts elongation tool is a louis "style" tool,but it is different so it works better on our pontiacs than the "original" style louis tool.

damn... i knew something didnt look right. alright I'll get me a spotts tool. thanks for all the help guys.
