Sand it down, dont use a chem stripper. The chem strip can soak into the urethane and cause problems later. You can use a small orbit da for the larger areas, but youre pretty much stuck with doing the corners and edges by hand. Slow process, for sure.
Its usually best to sand all the way down to the urethane. That way you remove any of the old lacquer product that could make its way back to the surface and cause cracking down the road. As for fixing the cracks, 3M makes a good product made just for this. Never heard of using JB Weld for this before. Does it have enough flex in it? dave

Just picked mine up at the sand blasters yesterday, turned out great, he used glass bead. I paid $75.00, well worth it to me.

I would not sand or strip with chemical stripper,both will warp the urethane,Id suggest buying new if you can.

I also sand blasted the one on the 70 Judge. I lowered the pressure down to where it was just taking the paint off... it took a while but turned out great and left the factory black sealer on the bumper.
