69 GTO- originally palladium silver/blue interior. This used to be my dads car in the 80's. He sold it and the kid wrecked it within 2 weeks!! Was then sold to a guy for $50!! he "attempted" to fix it with any parts he could find. It hasn't ran in 10 years. Car has 455 and a muncie 4spd. Trailered it home, put a battery in and dumped some gas down the carb and she FIRED!! I just purchased it a couple weeks ago. He still had the original endura bumper w/hide a ways intact!! I gotta lot of work ahead of me........ Below are pics from the 80's when my dad owned it.
Notice the fake hand painted Judge stripe u can still see! ![]() ![]() ![]() When my dad owned it... notice 70 Judge wing! ![]() And this is when my dad first got it. They pulled it 30 miles home by chain w/the 69 Judge of my uncles in the background

I agree with Dave...Excellent story 6T9 and it is very cool that you ended up with the car! Nice original color combo too!!!! Would love to see the progress on it as you are doing it!

Thanks alot guys!! U should of seen my fathers eyes when he saw this car again, it was priceless... I can remember riding in the back seat when i was a kid...
I'm still deciding what route i wanna go w/this car... A big part of me wants to repaint it blue w/the 70 spoiler, judge stripe and crager wheels. I also like Carousel red though......hmmm. The original Silver ain't bad either..... |

hmmmm....well what i would do if i were you is make the car the exact same as to when my dad had it...just for sentimental reasons...then again that is just my opinion....no matter what you decide to do just enjoy it and remember that know matter which route you take your Dad will be proud!!

Well, it is your car and Dave is right, your Dad will be proud regardless. Myself, I think I would do the original silver with the blue interior, with the blue/yellow/red 69 Judge stripes. I would add the 69 Judge wing instead of the 70... There are a significant number of carousel red ones out there already, silver would be different and would look great against the blue strip and interior. Any way you go is better then where it is at!

My vote is for silver and a '69 Judge wing, too. I just picked up a black '69 that was also Palladium Silver, but mine has a black vinyl top and a black interior. I'm going back with the original color combo. Thought about doing a Judge clone, but have pretty much decided against it. Great story, by the way! Scott

I seen this pic on the net a few years back and it's been in my head ever since, I absolutely love this car!
![]() But, I agree there are alot of Judge clones out there, so it's all still up in the air

That is a nice car but the rims and tires have got to go. God, I hate that look. Just my opinion.... I don't want to tell anyone how to do their car but I hate oversized rims and low profile tires. I feel that they will go the same way the custom paint jobs from the 80's did and disappear (hopefully) when the next fad comes around.

Il ike the look on a non Judge car. Seems to me that a Judge should be restored to factory correct. JMO.
I really like the story. I cant believe how someone let the car fall into such a bad state from where it once wass. Sounds like a good father son project to me. |

pics but near by my work across the street from a BW3s is a 66-67 Tempest/Lemans just sitting outside some guys house just kinda rotting away its a sad site. I informed my network admin here at my work about it since he is looking for a old lemans to restore and he went by the guys house and talked to him and the guy said he had no intention of selling it. But it is a sad site. I'll have to try and get some pics next time I'm feeling like some hot wings.

I have a 69 Judge clone and was seriously thinking about the same wheels (chrome torqe thrusts) but I wasn't going to go so large. I was thinking 15". I've decided to stick w/ the original rallys; just going to 15" instead of the 14". Old Blue, I think I agree, if my car were all one color, it might not look so out of place......I did have Cragars on it for a short time and got alot of compliments though.
