I've never been lucky enough to get a noisey rear axle to quiet down with use. Guess at this point you don't have nothing to lose by trying it.

Converting the TA rear end to "A" mounts sounds like a big project to me. Like was previously posted, you would be better off finding an "A" body rear end.

You might consider replacing the gear set and bearings in your exsisting rear end.
