I Pulled my 389 to check it out and one thing I am curious about is the windage tray looks to be cut off at the front two journals. Is there a reason for this? Maybe they are all this way, I haven't bought a book yet.
Thanks, Larry |

Pontiac used a full length windage tray on the 65 thru 69 engines, they used a shorter and thicker 4/5 length tray on the 70 thru mid 73 engines. Check the site i enclosed, on the first page you will see the new 4/5 length tray, i'll bet yours looks like this but not as pretty. http://www.tinindianperformance.com
