Mike, they got me too. I'm so pissed off at Performance Restorations that I went on a search and found this thread. Everything you said also happened to me. I couldn't send them my dash as a core so they said they would restore a very nice dash that they had as a core from someone else. I was quoted $550.00 for the restored dash and I would be sent a check for $125.00 once they received my original dash. Sounded great, but all hell broke loose once I tried to call again and again when I hadn't received my dash for 2 months. I didn't get a call back for about a month, started to get a little nervous. Finally Connie called me and said they were in process of switching to a new plater because their last one was putting out shoddy work. She said it would be another month or so. I didn't get my dash for another 3 months. The workmanship was horrible. The chrome, paint and repair work was evidently very rushed. The wood trim was loose at about 10 places. Anyway, I would never do business with them again. BTW, they received my dash in May and I'm still waiting for a check. I called and left a message saying that I would be contacting the BBB and beginning legal proceedings and I got a call the next day saying a check would be in the mail. That was about a month ago.
