Looking good. A couple of questions though...
Are you going to with barn red applied with a roller for the finish coat? How about the rare Lamnas "sport stripe"?

No, I'm all out of barn red, so we're going to use yellow parking lot stripe paint. Of course we're going to use a roller, what, did you think we'd use brushes? ![]() Still looking for that stripe, if anyone can help me out, let me know.

You may want to talk to a guy called chip fool or something like that.
He's out of CA, I hear he's real good with cheezy chebby stripes on old pontiacs

Thanks everyone. No, no beer, the black dog drank it all. Sunday we got two coats of color on the car, used the whole gallon. Now we have to wetsand and paint some more, then buff.

Hey barrier blue, not to get off topic or highjack your thread, but I saw you're from Lorain and just wanted to reminesce. How are things in Lorain now that the Ford plant closed? Do you remember a little restaraunt on North Ridge Road called "Tudy's"? I used to live in a little brick house just below there. My mom used to be a waitress there.Just up the street a little ways there used to be a Sinclair gas station on the corner, and behind the gas station was a bakery called Sally Ann's Bakery. Straight across the street from that there used to be a big dept. store called Ontario Dept. Store. I went to school at Maplewood Elementary thru 2nd grade, then we moved to a different part of town and started 3rd grade at Masson Elem.,Miss Klein's class. My dad worked at the Ford plant thru the 60's and they always had the company employee picnic at Chippewa Lake Amusement Park. Another place I remember going was a little tourist trap called the "Blue Hole". I know all these places are gone now.

Today I actually did some of the work, we wetsanded with 800. Tomorrow we're going to use 1200, then Sunday shoot it again. There were 3 adults and 4 kids wetsanding the primer last week, and I wasn't one of them either. My brother in law shot the primer and the paint, and did a great job! David We shot the primer and the enamel outside in the portable garage that I did the sandblasting in. That garage is just too darn small to really do anything in. Fried Boloney Love it with eggs! Tudy's is gone. They closed it and tore it down about four years ago, and built a Convenient Food Mart / Sunoco gas station there. I live about 2.5 miles from there. I don't remember the Sinclair station, I grew up in Amherst. I remember the one that was there though. I recall the sign for Sally Ann's. It's still there I believe, but I don't know if they are still open. Ontario was a good store. You could get anything there. The place became a Cook's store, which was still pretty good, but it finally closed too. Across the street from there is a little corner car lot and body shop, and the guy is into old cars, including Pontiacs. They have a 63 Lemans that they have been working on for quite a while. That must have been the Sinclair station. I went to high school in Lorain, and I remember there were a few kids in my class that went to Masson school. The blue hole was cool, went there as a kid, they closed it years ago.

Thanks Shawn, I like the blue concrete too.
Bill, sorry you can't make it for Norwalk this year. ![]() We would have had a blast! My brother-in-law, GP-freak, put another couple coats on today (the car, not the driveway), and tomorrow we'll be wetsanding again. Monday we'll buff, then the nasty bumpers will go back on. GP-freak did a great job on the shaker scoop, I'll have to get a pic and put it up here. Jeff

I like the shaker addition. A friend of mine has a 72 Chevy pickup he wants to sell me,was wondering if I could add one to it,along with a Pontiac 400. Might get an old scrap hood and experiment
