Ken,

Are you talking about safety plates? I've been told never to run a 4500 without one:

Same here. Nothing has fallen out in 20 years but that doesn't mean it can't

heres a link to the plate ponitac dude is referring to. Question is how does that plate stop the Throttle Plate screws from falling into the engine.
