I have a 67 lemans with a bad rear end. I found a 69 olds 442 rear in good condition. They guy tells me it "should fit". Has anyone every looked into this swap before? If it was a 69 gto I have read it would work, but I don't know about the olds.

Pretty darn sure it will fit.
I have a Olds rear...10.5 rear ....In my 67. Bolted in just fine..Mine is out of a 71 Cutlass. Very strong rear with bolt in axels too.

all A body rears basically interchange from 64-72. Slight differences in width, yoke, and depth, but all bolt in.

Forgot to mention I had to shorten my driveshaft a bit to fit though...
Oops, I am late. Is it a 10.5 rear?

might be an inch wider
meaning you'll have a little less room for thick tires out back, but i don't see any other horrible issues
