i have used crylon's plastic paint with good success. but as other post says prep work is very important. as well as adhesion primer they even make a reasonable tan color. if panels(white chalky stuff) are dry rotted better to replace them. once it has started you will never get part back to new shape.

Wipe it down with thinner, it opens the pores and for black use a trim paint called SEM. I did an interior in my 71 Nova in 1994, painted it with SEM, and within 24 hrs i armor all-ed it, and the stuff looks like i did it yesterday, and i drive the wheels off the car, it great stuff. Everyone trys to use interior dyes, it's just laquer with a gloss killer in it.
The secret with the SEM is just get enough on it to cover it completely, dont hog it on, and let the armor all give it the shine, it works!!!!!
