You can start shaking your head now PJ... lol... I have the smallblock out of my old pickup sittin in the garage. 406... 400hp... 450ft-lbs... It'll work for now. Unfortunatly for me... most of the Canadian Pontiacs I got used to seeing had SBC's, so mine's getting one. The next engine will also be a SBC mainly because we've been playing with sprint cars for 10 yrs now. With a circle track in close proximity there's no shortage of used Bowtie blocks, high flowing cylinder heads, really nice cranks, rods, that guys will only use for a season or two before they upgrade. Then it turns into perfect material for street cars... lol.. Maybe someday I'll "do the right thing" and put a Pontiac in it... lol.. Hope this doesn't ruin your day...

No way, could any nice hotrod ruin my day! But you Canadians sure evoke my sympathy- seeing mostly Chev-powered Pontiacs. On the other side of the coin, I could get really enthused about building a Pontiac-powered Laurentien! There was a '57 2-door hardtop for sale a while back (Ottawa area?)- took me forever to get that idea out of my mind- a "small" '57 Pontiac!

Trunk floor's all sheetmetaled in... mounts are on .. now I just gotta bring it home... soon.. I've learned that sheetmetal work is expensive, so it's next on my list of things to learn... lol

Hi
That’s going to be an awesome car. My next winter project is going to be a 56 Pontiac 2dr post and I want a more modern front suspension, without have to use a sub frame from another car. Were have you bought your front suspension? Is it from fatman fabrication?

Hey Pontchief, the front suspension is made by a local company in Edmonton called Macgyvers. They have a website too... www.macgyvers.com They handled all my chassis work on this one and did a fantastic job. Talk to Mike and he can hook you up...
