I almost bought a 2005 but I decided to pay off my 2001 WS6 TA instead. What makes me mad is they skipped 2007. I probably would have bought a 2007 to park next to my 1967. Oh well it's stuff like that why GM is going down the crapper! I mean when even the diehard GM guys aren't buying your cars, you're in real trouble.

I've seen the new Cadil.......errr, Camaro concept up close in person and I don't really get the appeal of it. The interior was kind of cool but I didn't care much for the exterior.

I'll admit that I don't really like the way that the body panels on the new GTO are shaped around the rear tires. I don't like that "bulge" (for lack of a better word). I like the rest of the car.

Ben, there are dealers across the nation selling the new GTO's for less than $25k. I think I even read on LS2GTO.com that there were dealers in Cali w/comparable pricing. How much cheaper do they need to be?

When I bought mine, there were dealers near me that did not want to deal at all. They would not even get near $30k for the car PLUS TTL. I had to shop around a LOT.

I think they are missing the boat with sytling. I don't think the car is horrible or bad looking. I just think it's bland, lakluster or plain.

I also think the concept of a 400HP car for 21K has done well. I think it would do better if they got in touch with the roots of the GTO styling.

Much like the Mustang Camaro's or Challangers, I think they would sell more and demand more money if they were to follow the Modern/Retro trend.

I know that I personally would spend 30-35K if it was a bad ass looking car like the 60'S GTO's.

Just My Opinion.

Maybe on the east coast or midwest, but out here none of them stocked them and weren't interested in it when it was new. I've had quite a bit of negative experiences with most of the dealers out here regarding their willingness just to sell cars. For $25k it is just the right price for me, but I wasn't going to play one of those "starts at $36k and factor in a $5k 'market adjustment' rates on top of that" games. Also, no test drives either.

It was a planned three year run from the get go('04, '05, '06).
