GO thru the entire thread and read my post...My stance has been the same all along. I like the perfomance aspect of the current GTO....I just don't like the wrapper. I think it's great what they did perfomance wise. I am dissapointed that it's looks don't compliment the performance.

Exactly
I am trying to decide wether to restore a 65-67 GTO/Le Mans or wait and see what happens in 09. I'd love a classic and I don't think anything will ever look or feel the same(you don't have to agree with me). Just not sure I have the time to invest in a restoration and I am too cheap to pay anyone for work I can do myself. Next best thing would be a modern muscle car.

Just because your into performance doesn't mean you have to comprimise on looks. Some are fine with the looks some are not.

It's not like it's a secret, most of the articles and reviews and comments from owners only have one complaint....STYLING

For those of you that don't mind the current styling, consider yourself lucky...You get to enjoy those ponies long before more discriminating buyers.

So, by "more discriminating" you mean those obsessed with look-at-me styling, right? Okay, it's obvious you don't get it. Would you call Mustang buyers discriminating? Or Charger buyers? Discriminating buyers place quality above outward appearance. It DOES matter to some people. And personally, I don't even have a complaint about the styling. It's much better than what was available from 1973 to 2003.

Cars are like ladies. Everyone has a different preference...Why the f*ck can't people figure that out. You like your car...great!... stop *****ing because someone else doesn't. I like everything about your car but the GTO badge and the bland styling ...move on! As I said earlier if I wanted a look at me status symbol car it would be a BMW/Lexus Etc...(that's not my style)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
