what exactly is the difference between the two? I have a 66 and located 67 quarters for it. any help would be appreciated

The tail, the shape of the tail is different.

skins are the same, but full quarter tops are different/top side next to trunk lid.

You would need to spend $$ in bodywork. The 66's is a repro item that I have seen used quite a lot, but they are a little rippley and require bodywork to make them straight. If it were me I would hold off unitl I could get some original 66 quarters w/jam.

Also, the contour of the repro 66 Quarter Panels in front of the wheel is not correct. The Wheel Opening Molding does not fit correctly to the wheel opening contour in front of the rear wheel.
