Good call...

Hell, I have sent two carbs for recalibration and modifications knowing it will be 6 months or more to have the carbs I sent to Cliff returned. One should make accomodations and judge their actions based on supply and demand. I know I will not get them back until Sept at the latest and I judged my restoration on this fact.

If nobody is throwing you a "courtesy dime" for your efforts, screw them. I personally know that this is the busy season and machine work usually takes 6-8 weeks (with current work scheduled) This is engine building...not carb work. But unless you are willing to pay a hefty additional price to have your work moved in front of others (unfair) or to have your machinist put in a few more hours a night to get your work done, your "complainer" should STFU!

Tom, I personally do not know you, but have recieved private messages from you about an alternator and other questions I had posted on this board that I didn't personally ask you to specifically reply. I HIGHLY appreciate the thorough and concise information you gave me (again I have to say Tom initiated the PM).

I commend the forthright institution of your personal convictions. If others have an issue of it, they should compensate you fully, patiently wait or pay for the return of their carb.
