yes, im talking about just running a duct from the firewall to a hat/box on the carb
or bring it in from the grill
im trying to stay away from the scoop on the hood deal.

Yardbird, in about 1966 a friend, who built hot air heating systems, made a hat, like you described, for my dual quad 389 that was ducted from the heater inlet housing in my 63 LeMans. With no other changes, I went from a 12.14 to 11.71.
