I paid $200 for a griffin from summit. Its not restoration correct, but it more than does the job, and was cheap. I got a universal style nascar or whatever they're called. For me, it was a great buy.
Virtually anything works better than the stock radiators which were designed for the arctic circle. Mine had a puny 2 core on a 400. My guess is that brass price was high in the 60's.
