Default Interesting...

as he is usually MY best customer at nearly every major meet. After all the "tire kickers" jack me around on prices...he buys it with the appreciation of what it takes to find, hoard and carry parts around for these jokers who are too lazy to do it themselves. Also...this IS his occupation...not a hobby. Like was said earlier...don't call him if you don't want to pay for his services and don't whine about what folks charge if you don't have a clue as to how hard it is to do what they do. Everyone wants something for nothing. I've done this for over 20 years and I know what's involved. I've sold parts here and am at present time sitting on parts that someone has committed to buying but hasn't come thru. Now...I have to contact folks that I already told that the items were sold. They'll most certainly think I'm playing games when, in fact, I'm merely caught in the middle of someone elses game. It's not as easy as it would seem and these headaches are worth something! Ron, I'm glad for you that you have a good working relationship with him. You seem very fair and upfront too.
I can't say the same for my deal with him. Maybe I made too much of it. And it wasn't his initial price either. I've paid top dollar and above for many many parts over the decade and a half and didn't complain about it. It comes out in the wash.
So it's his job? It's his choice to do what he does. I have no sympathy for him gambling on parts--that's his choice. If he doesn't like holding onto parts, don't do it. I don't begrudge him doing what he likes either. So all I can say is 'same to you'---if you can't understand another opinion, don't read it. It's just what it is--a differing opinion?
I fully understand that some of you like selling to him--not as many like buying from him. So let it go. You aren't going to change minds. Please and thank you. :)

Those that haven't yet delt with Barry's COMPANY SONIC MOTORS (which is a business to make money) should be in understanding of what to expect. How does that hurt Barry if they know he's going to ask for the Moon? It doesn't. We just pre-qualified his buyer for him. People in business understand that.

I think you are missing or ignoring the point here. I agree that everyone has the right to be in business and price their goods based upon supply and demand. No arguement here.. What I have a problem with is vendors that you unsuspectingly assume that are good in nature and accountable for their word. Barry Matin is neither. He is a crook and a thief. Plain and simple and if this venue saves other unsuspecting purchasers from also being ripped off, then it was worth it..No matter how much money you take from him. Besides you have been the only person out of many sellers that I have stated anything positive about Barry..
