Lloyd,
Did you see this one on ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ponti...spagenameZWDVW

The phs on the ad is too out of focus to read but it does have a Formula wheel & dash tach.

You have room for another one?

The difference in pricing for the WW5 option are 2 reasons. The repeal of the federal excise tax on December 11,1971 lowered the pricing of all options(around 2.5%).All cars invoiced after this date would have-lower- pricing for options. The second reason is the difference in standard equipment content for the 2 models a WW5 option was offered and the price difference between 4-speed and automatic. For example a 4-speed M22 listed for 231.00 and the M40 Turbo Hydramatic was 236.00(5.00 difference),that has the difference for 2 prices and the difference between a sedan and hardtop due to Sport Mirrors not available on sedan(26.00) but RoofDrip Mouldings (13.00) and Custom Carpet(21.00) which are standard on hardtop and not sedan being included--34.00 minus 26.00 for a 8.00 difference between sedan and hardtop.
I have included a scan of my old dealer accessorizer showing WW5 option pricing after the lower price. Any car invoiced(PHS) prior to 12-11-71 would have higher pricing on all options, not just WW5.

scb, thanks for the info!! I figured it was something simple and that explanation makes sense.

Now for another question and this has been discussed before, what is the 'special identification' in the WW5 package? Is it just the standard HO 1/4 panel call outs due to the HO being included in the package, or, the HO under the GTO on the deck lid?

scb, any pics you care to share of your WW5? It looks like a very nice original car.

Scanned from my dusty old MPC illustrations and from my Dealer Order Album, Mike.

"GTO H.O." deck lid callout on the deck lid is indeed correct for WW5 cars only.

Well, even though I know it's incorrect, I'm leaving mine Pat. I like the look!

Great, getting some of the detail stuff done, I still don't have the Honey's refinished (that's another story)...looks like I'll have a busy winter

Going to an all GM show in Ocala on Saturday, over 700 cars registered, hope to see a few Pontiac's there. I just dread the thought of looking at 150 red Chevelles/Camaro's in one place...

Yep, Steve, I have been studying it, and it's a NICE one. If one follows the link he has now posted there is a much clearer shot of the PHS invoice. The info is posted in my original post #1 above, BTW.

And yes, I have the room, but unfortunately not the funds.
