Lloyd, be careful if you let them both dyno your motor. Here is a pic of Dan and Mark (hiding) dynoing my 350 HO motor. One bank of the motor was pulling much stronger than the other

Here's MINE! (just a driver,needs paint)
It's pretty basic; M22,Blue custom trim. I've added the Honeycombs & bumper guards.
Other than radial tires,744 cam & Flowmaster American Thunder (transverse muffler) exhaust system,it's original!(oops,almost forgot about the vintage "Ricky Recardo's")
Had it to the track a few years back & it ran 13.9 on the T/A's.
Haven't driven it for about three years but this spring it's comin' out,FOR SURE!

They ARE on the LIST & I didn't drill ANY HOLES for them.

Feel FREE to RIP on me for adding the "Ricky Recardo's",but they are FUN for NOW & I'll put the stock seats back in just as soon as SOMEBODY makes a respectable set of repro DELUXE seat covers.

I guess every week or so I have to prod the HO forum back to life....

Here is a question that is for the 455 HO experts. I can not find a definitive answer in any of the usual sources.....
How many of the four fasteners that hold the exhaust crossover to the head were studs and how many were bolts?

The parts book lists four studs and no bolts, but if memory serves my car had 3 studs and 1 bolt.
One of the four is a bear to install as a stud (too long) so possibly a running change was made for ease of assembly. Anybody have an unmolested car, or taken one apart?

I have 2 relatively untouched 71 HO cars that I can check for you if you can wait a week or so. Do you want pictures or is a description ok?

No hurry. No need for pictures either, just a description.
Please indicate either; 4 studs
or a mixture of studs and bolts.
If the latter, please describe where you found any bolts (ie LH side front, etc)
Also please post the build week and plant (for example 04A Norwood)

I just bought one on EBAY, got it in the mail today. My '71 (9A) date judges intake was cast 7-30-70, can't tell you the crossover date(and it's back together). But the one I bought....intake cast 6-25-70, and the crossover with (1094) choke housing still intack has part number 9796395 cast 4-30-70...DW

Wow Doug! Our intakes were cast two days apart? What is your crossover date 4-30-70? That seems more for a late 70? Mine is 6-1-70 which is probably more for a early 71? It still has a 9098 choke on it? Weird Pontiac stuff!
