Not old pictures but here's Larry Swiatek's Grey Ghost funny car alive and well in Chicago.
Arnie Beswick says it was made from the same mold as his funny car! |

RE: Grey (Gray??) Ghost. Doesnt a picture of the '63 SD car of Mike Garfinkel and associate of Chicago area show up in McCarthys book???
All 14 (13???) of these cars were Cadillac Fire Mist Silver with med blue catalina interiors. I had one when it only had 36 miles on the odo..... also have photos of it.....dont know how to post them. Or are we talking about another car sporting the same name?????? |

We went and looked at that car and wanted to buy it when i was still a kid. It was only like 30 minutes away from the house. Glad to see its still around instead of being destroyed

These pictures are from the Minnesota History Center website, a couple Pontiac stock cars racing at the Minnesota State Fair in about 1960.

Tri13-- that Eddie Hill twin Pontiac powered rail was the strongest runner at the time--around 190 mph--was able to tear holes in the pavement.
