Thanks for all the help. The photos really were the ticket to success. Ported the intake out to the gasket line and rounded under the flange to give a smooth transition for air flow. One thing I did learn is that WD-40 will keep a rotary file (burr) clean and let you grind aluminum without the burr clogging up. In the past I have used burrs on aluminum without much success. Grind for a minute and clean the burr for five. If you folks are spending hours with sand paper rolls, try spraying a lubricant on the burr and aluminum surface to make the chips fall off the burr. HUGE time saver. Thanks again...........Harddecisions

Lye eats aluminum, so if you're done for the day you could let it do the work for you...
