301 and 301 Turbo resource
About a year ago, I played with the idea of building a web site for 301 information. There wasn't much out there, and it seemed that quite a number of folks didn't want to replace a perfectly good running engine. While some were building their dream car, many were restoring a car they loved. Most notably were '80 and '81 Turbo Pace car owners who wanted to retain the original drive train. When these folks asked questions they usually got unhelpful advice about replacing the original engine. For the folks who do want to stay original, or maybe improve it a bit. There is a new resource. The site is focused only on the 301. There are already excellent sites for about every other aspect of the Pontiac car hobby. I'm not a commercial entity and don't have sponsors, so it's just about information. So, for anyone that wants to talk 301, it is at: www.301garage.com and the 301 Garage forum at: www.301garage.com/forum/index.php Joe R |

GREAT IDEA!
In MY experience, most people with 301's (turbo & naturally aspirated) just seem to drive them until they break or wear out & then the first thought is to replace with MORE CUBES. With current gas prices,a small cube V8 makes sense,if you like to actually DRIVE your car. An 80-81 Turbo T/A has got to be one of nicest driving cars of that era on the interstate at 75 mph. |

I like turbo cars and I still have a turbo motor that I want to plant in an A-body car. I have a couple of other projects going on right now, so it might be when it warms up.
Thanks for the webpage and I hope it takes off. I have a feeling it will be pretty popular one day--maybe even now. But I think some day for sure. |

Joe has been working on this site for a long time and there is a lot of very useful information there. If you have any questions on the 301 and 301 turbo, check it out.
