SDD, thanks for confirming those numbers.

Here are a couple pictures of my nos hood latch that came with the car when I purchased it. I just couldn't bring myself to change it, until today!
Went like clock work and without a scratch.

Craig,

What are you trying to say? You mean you don't see a date code on that core support either?
Maybe it’s that new hood latch, it’s so shinny I guess I can’t see it cause of the glare.

More on OSRV mirrors. Of the four OS mirrors on my two 74 FB's only the drivers side mirror on the Nov 73 car has a date code & none of them have the caution on the passenger side mirror. The code is 2 DMI 2, kind of an early date for a 74 car?? The DMI stands for Donnelly Mirror Inc. They made a lot of the GM mirrors. I google'd their name and found a site (not sure if it was there official site) that has, what they claim to be OEM mirror glass, with & without the caution warning. They seem real pricy for what I think is the same glass as Pep Boys & others sell at a much lower price. But maybe they will etch the xx DMI xx codes, to make your mirror as original as possible. Like auto glass date coding. Just a thought!
