Here is a little chart:
http://home.earthlink.net/~quadrajet...HOKE_COILS.htm I believe I ordered a new choke thermostat from Pontiac in 1979 or 1980 because the original choke spring was not keeping the choke completely closed. I have not found the original choke thermostat housing, but I'm still looking. The number stamped on my replacement is 1094 which agrees to the choke stamped number for a 7028273 carb in this chart. Is the correct Ram Air III manual 7028273 choke thermostat housing stamped 1094, or is it 9097 as stated below? If 9097 is correct, why does this chart show 1094? (Would I have put the wrong part number on my car back then? I'm having trouble remembering if I was as anal at 19 as I am at 48!)

My '69 judge with an 8273 carb has a 9097, and it hadn't been touched until I rubbed my finger accross it.
Read the very bottom of that chart..DW

I think 9097 is the standard 4bbl choke spring. I've got a few of them and they definitely didn't come off of RA cars. Both intakes they were off of were mid to late 68 date codes

"definitely didn't come off of RA cars", come on. You want to see a couple pictures of the top of my engine on my Baltimore built '69 stick RAM III judge with a 8273 on it?
That chart doesn't differentiate between RAM III or RAMIV either. Doesn't state that a 8273 was used on a '69 either. Nor does it list any of the factory crossed out, restamped numbers....DW
