Here is Jack Chrisman driving his M/T Pontiac HEMI fueler in '62.
Note- this is a different car than the M/T Pontiac HEMI digger that won Indy that year. There were 2 ( at least ). Steve Barcak www.pontiacheaven.org "Real Pontiacs only...no corporate nonsense!"

Glad you posted the Chrisman/hemi picture- I like that photo. Wasn't it from the WinterNationals ('63)?

Jack- Not sure. It could have been the '63 Winternationals at Pomona.
Here is another great pic. Take a look. Slingshot, blown, injected, Pontiac powered and painted stock valve covers ( yeah!) ! I think this may be the now owned and ran by Paul Spotts. Anyone no more on this Pontiac? Steve Barcak www.pontiacheaven.org "Real Pontiacs only...no corporate nonsense!"

That rail certainly does look like the same style construction as Spotty's. Paul does know some of the history of his car, in fact I thought he had traced it back to the original owner. Maybe he can chime in with that info?

"Steve, those stock valve covers look chrome."
Nope, they are Pontiac silver blue metalic. Maybe time to have the yes checked? There was a small, color picture of this car in HPP in the late eighties. It only showed the right side of the motor and part of the cowling. There was no caption or other info with that picture. Too bad.
