Yep, that's exactly how they should look.

Here's some shots of mine to compare.

Rear 15X8s with a reversed rim.



Front 15X5s.



On the car for a different perspective.

I'd run ET gasser wheels in the front,and the ET altered wheels in the rear.

Both in the "as cast" center/polished rim versions.

Say 15 x 6" in the front,15 x 8" in the rear.

275-60-15's for the rear tires minimum,and say something like a 215-70-15's for the fronts.

That would look badass IMO,and still be very driveable.

You could go with the skinny front rim (15x4.5") and the front runner style tires too,but I really dont like those for regular street driving myself,just not as safe or durable.

But those would look really cool as well.

car's runnin' great, and i am looking for real now for wheels. thanks for the great suggestions, if anymore pop up, i'm game!!!!!
(even suggesting stuff for 'fun' is still fun anyhow ......)

Here's a car I found on the HAMB site, a '55 Chevy custom (owned by Mark Moriarity) with a brand-new set of chrome reverse wheels. I know it's a completely diifferent style of car than your GTO, but the wheels are pretty impressive and a good example of what I was talking about.

These ones were built by Wheels of Steel http://www.custombuiltsteelwheels.com/, if you want a set be patient as they will take a while to get made.

The pics are big so you can see the wheel details a little better.
