Find you a good size 16 year old.
Have him confront the little bastard, have him tell the little piece of sh!t that this is my best friend you're messing with and if you so much look at her again I will kick your little ass all over the neighborhood. That should do it. |

There are tons of cheapo surviellance cams on E-bay, I was looking for a nanny cam not too long ago and saw them. Some even have IR illuminators for recording in the dark.
I would get the little punk a few times before calling the cops though. I had problems with kids driving their ATV's on my property not too long ago but that was solved with a little friendly persuasion --a cell phone camera for the cops to see and some steel spikes. |

If he is truely home alone that much call child protective services every other day have others in the family do it. The mother will not like the heat and take care of him for you. Just my 2 cents.

You might go get you a new "welcome" door-mat that is made out of thin carpet or astro turf. Then get you a piece of 1/2" plywood that is exactly the same size as the mat. Carefully drive a 100 or more 2 1/2" long "un-galavanized" nails through the plywood. Place the "welcome" mat on top of the plywood and slide it out far enough out that he'll need to step on it to reach the door-bell button or entice him with a pretty, new flower arrangement-wreath mounted securely on the door. Be sure to put a "no-trespassing" sign at the end of your sidewalk.
Usually this level of pain will cause him to think twice about retalliation. We had a 'window" peeper at some apartments years ago that would jump the 6' high wooden fences that surrounded the sliding-glass doors and patio area. He would land quietly and then enjoy the next few moments staring into people's living rooms. He always did this very late at night. With a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood and several hundred rusty old nails and some old carpet; we decided it was pay-back time. It was especially satisfying to hear we had "nailed" him at 2:30 in the morning. Usually it takes this kind of action to get your point across to people that your family is sacred and should not be tampered with. While to some this may sound a little extreme; they need to remember that this is your daughter he's chosen to single out. So there will be very extreme consequences for him to deal with. BTW, I'm very sorry to hear about your divorce. |

Ask the police for extra patrol. If you let the cops know that you're tired of the kid enough....they'll get tired of hearing it from you and do their best to get it stopped. Also, without buying any camera equipment, hiring neighborhood kids to assault him, etc., you could look into the possibility of filing a harassment/restraining order against him. Talk civily to your local copper, I'm sure they have a more civil suggestion. There may also be mediation services available through the local police department. Many jurisdictions have this option in order to handle civil matters between neighbors so that problems can be solved without having to get the whole damn world involved.
We are just talking about vandalism here also, doesn't sound like there's been a lot of damage to property. Most kids do this because they love the reaction they get. If everytime something happens an argument between the mom's breaks out and the cops get called, he's getting his entertainment. If he's home alone a lot, then he's seeking attention anyway he can get it, from whomever will provide it. Try ignoring the ding dong ditch for awhile, see if it doesn't have an impact. And why in the hell is everyone in such a hurry to get a lawyer involved and file a lawsuit???? Isn't that part of the problem with the direction our country is going in the first place???? Everyone always wants to sue this, sue that all the time!!!! Is what is occurring sad. Absolutely!! Is it worthy of a lawsuit?? Not a chance!!! My $.02 Rusty Unfortunatly that is your only recourse in todays world. Until it hurts this kids mother she will NOT stop defending her bratt. She has no insentive to stop it. parents today are afraid to discipline there kids. the teachers have the kids buffalowed in to thinking If your parents touch you have them thrown in jail. The juvenal crime problem is caused by your way of thinking .IMO. Back when I was a kid the only thing that kept me out of jail was the FEAR of my dad finding out and tearing the skin off my butt with his belt. Now the little yard apes might get an hour of HUG therapy. |
