Not that old but a neat shot nonetheless...to me anyway. This is my funny car when Dick Rosberg owned and raced it, going against the Snake at the 1981 NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, CA.

Anybody else on this planet campaign a M/T hemi Pontiac for eleven seasons? ... or has built a record breaking DOHC hemi four cylinder Pontiac? ... or has driven a couple laps of Nuerburgring with Tri-Power Pontiac power?(back in 1967) ... or has a Pontiac born the same year as Jim Wangers? (1926}

Still doesn't answer your question though does it. I like in the article, they built there own trans adapter with 3/4" plate for the th-400, way before Wilcap or anyone else came along with an adapter.

Sometime after '94, Tom changed to a 455-based engine in the '58 and then ran mid-tens, if I remember right. But then Tom began running the '59, and Sharon ran the '58 quite a lot. But I don't know whether the '58 shortblock went back into the '58.
