my old ones were air and one of them popped a few days ago while i was out riding. so i went out today and bought NAPA gas shocks. i installed them both and realized the height dropped tremendously - to the point where the fenders were touching the tires! so what could be the problem here? do i need to change the leaf springs here?

Sounds like that is why the air shocks were installed.

or could it be that my shocks blew in the first place was because it had to rely on itself and not much from the springs?

so far i've replaced them with new air shocks. seems to be working fine, for now.
but i want to replace the leaf springs in the future. the only problem is i can only find multi-leaf springs for it, no singles. how do i get it multi-leaf springs to fit? looking around i see that the struts are connected to the bar that holds up the springs.
