Nice payout. Pay for the weekend ticket, go 4 rounds each day, get your gate fee back + $125. Paybacks to 3rd round loser each day provided 512 cars are staged for round 1 each day. I ran the numbers just out of curiosity to see how much the track would be making on just racer gate fees after their payouts are taken care of. Assuming 512 cars are staged for round 1 each day for all 3 days (that's staged, not entered), they're looking at $168,200 ($396,800 entry fee - $228,600 purse payout). And then there's the spectator gate, concessions, and sponsors. Optimal numbers for certain, which is why they would give themselves a cushion in order to meet the guaranteed purse should a lower amount of racers show up. Wow.

Not as easy as it sounds. There are some heavy hitters that race at these events.

No, it's not easy, but there aren't many races out there where you can go 4 rounds and not be anywhere near the final and get your gate fee back. I'm just amazed at how much the track is taking in, and wondering how much the sponsors are paying for the event.

Thumbs up

There are people coming from the south and the north for this event. Some of the best bracket racers in the country.
