Considering GM supplied all the engines from the same source I'm betting all the cranks were cast.

I've also heard that due to the piston gaulding issue the 6.2's had in high heat situations the military has bee dumping the old blocks in favor of the current, improved unit that's on the market currently.

UNREAL Mike : GM would put a steel crank in a gasser 350 if it went in a 1 ton, but not in a diesel !?!?!
