I believe that the 8" C3 vette rings are the same as those on Rock's car.

I pulled the invoice and yes, the fronts are 245/60 not 245/50. Like you said I don't think there is such a tire from BFG.

You bet!
If you order any of that stuff you might want to clarify the part numbers, my order was from back in 2003 so things may have changed... |

Here's some current pics of my 70 Bird almost through its restoration process...I want to have it done before the last open drag night which is october. I've got every part for it, and it's now just a matter of a few weeks of assembly and paint. I can't decide whether to paint it the silver now, or just keep it in that black primer to expedite getting it to the strip.

It is almost done.....
I really like the way these cars look with Rally IIs, but my car is a Honeycomb car! I'll probably put some Rally IIs back on it the near future and post another picture.... |

Here's my 73 TA clone. 70-73 firebirds are hard to find here in ND. So I found this one stripped out at the junk yard and started building it up. It took 10 years of weekends and just finding the extra parts to put into it but here it is 95% complete.Everything in it is pontiac....just a different year
engine 400 (78), doors (78) fenders (75 &76) nose (70-72) hood & scoop (ebay). So much fun to drive. thanks

Thanks Brew, Keith K has mentioned more than once that my blackwalls look "wrong".
I think raised white letters look great on Rally IIs, but honeycombs scream for blackwalls! Onerarebird, that is awesome that not only did you rescue another bird from the crusher, you made it into a very worthy ride! Please post pics! |

I like the blackwalls too. Also gives you more tire options.

After being a member of this forum for about 5 years, I thought it was about time I posted a few pictures of my '70 Formula.
These were taken at this year's POCI convention in Spearfish SD. Didn't see many of you there, unfortunately. Attendance generally seemed pretty low (about 200 cars), at least in comparison to the last one I was at (in 2001, in Red Wing MN). |

![]() How could I let this happen, you ask? Well, back then I was really into corner carving around the wonderful back roads of Southwest Virginia. So I put on a set of 225/60 VR15 Goodyear Eagle Gatorbacks -- the grippiest tires available in those days, and blackwall only, of course. The car was on 14s when I decided to buy the tires, so I needed some 15s fast. And wouldn't you know, the only thing I could find that weekend in the local Parts Trader was a set of honeycombs from a '76 T/A (in great shape, and for only $75 for the set if I recall). Not to worry, though, I soon found a proper set of 15x7 Rally IIs to replace them
