Is it really that good? My philosophy has always kind of been that the finish can only be as good as the paint applied and no snake oil is going to make something shine more than it physically can, or look smoother than the original texture of the paint. Guess I'm wrong again?

It definetly takes a longer period of time to remove than other waxes, but not because it's hard to work with, it needs more drying time than other waxes. I can't compare to some of the waxes that others here are speaking of since I don't have experience with most of them. Zaino say's in there instructions that the more coats that you apply, the deeper the shine, kinda like adding more coats of clear coat. In my experience I found that to be true.
