Had a guy one time approach my father and I at the Brudette Bros. car show in Hyattstown, MD (biggest all Pontia cshow in the region) after he spent a good 15 minutes looking at the Can Am. First words out his mouth were "I had one just like this when I was younger, but it was a '78 model". He even insisted it had the same body contours, even though we told him '77 was the last year for this particular A-body style...and that the Can Am was a one year only production. Guy wanted to argue with us, so we just nodded as if in agreement and he eventually walked away.
