Very dry,...very light coats. Usually 5 or 6, with about 1/2 hour in between each coat. Let them sit over night, at 70 degrees plus, & then shoot my favorite brand of engine paint. I have several cans of old obsolete TRW Service Line paint for the '69-70 Metallic Blue, & I use the expensive OEM paint for '71 & '72. My '69 350HO is the longest time use I've had using this process, & it still looks good, just a bit darkened.
Any idea how many hours/miles are on the 350 HO since your paint treatment?

2many (is there really any such thing as too many??), I first ran the engine in the summer of 2000. Have about 900 miles on the car. Hours running time? Hard to say, since I had to run the engine a ton before the car ever rolled one single inch. It's a long story, but my trusted machine shop miss-bord the block. Had to tear it down & replace a few parts. Maybe 80 hours total.

I wish all of you and your families a good & safe Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy the Turkey and may the Cowboy's lose ( blame it on T.O.) and maybe the Lion's win there first of the year.
