Numbers matching except that it has an NOS 2270 automatic carb, LOTS of options. Good history and lots of docs. Silver award winner at the 2007 POCI Convention and the 2008 DAPA Southern Nationals. Featured in the November 2007 issue of HPP magazine.

Installed in car..hooray. The main objective of this project was to return the car to the road after a 23 yr hiatus due to internal engine problems. the remainder of the car will be attended to at a later date.

Man, that looks a helluva lot better! Isn't is awesome taking something old and cruddy and making it new again? Anyway, regarding the SD valley pan plug, it is available only from Ames. About $40 if I remember right. And not a bad reproduction if I must say.

Someone has to explain these two pics to me. I must be missing something or I need a new brain.. lol

The first one looks correct, except for the valve cover on the left side.

The second one has the thermostat housing pointing left, and the fuel pump is on the left side. Valve covers look to be correct. Pulleys look correct in both pics. Distributor is in the back on both pics.

That fuel pump in the second pic is throwing me off, on the timing cover.

What the hell, Did you use a mirror to take these pics? or am I getting to old.. lol
