To much government interference. In my neighborhood there are no laws and there are more non-smoking bars and restaurants than there are those that allow smoking. Let the market place decide. When my wife and I go out we go to stictly non-smoking establishments. If someone wants to smoke, let them go to a smoking allowed establishment.

That doesn't affect my life at all.

While I do agree with yours and Sleepy's comments, it is darned nice to walk out of just about anyplace without smelling like an ashtray.

Ohio has had the smoking ban in place for a few years now.

I'm a non-smoker, don't like to be around smoke, don't allow it in my home or car. Fla banned most "public" place smoking (bars may be exempt) by Constitutional Amendment a few years ago.

I voted against the ban. I am entirely in agreement with Sleepy & JeffP on this.

Now that we have established that the rules for YOUR property can be dictated by the Government, you have lost your right to own private property. You no longer own your property, you are just the caretaker, doing the bidding of the actual Owner, your State Government. They tell you how to operate and you say yessir.

You guys that applaud this should watch what you wish for. You have allowed Gov't to trample on your God given birthrights.

When the majority decides that you should not be allowed to work on old cars in the "privacy" of your own garage, the precedent will not be on your side.

The Government is stepping in to control and regulate every aspect of your life and everything you own and most people are standing by cheering them on. Soon you won't be able to flush the toilet in your own house without the Government telling you on what day it is permissible.
